TRILLS are a harmonic fourpiece from London, composing a unique blend of cinematic art pop and drone folk. Prolific songwriters, the band have a knack for creating richly textured, harmony-saturated tracks that are both cinematic and sensitive, bold and haunting.
Their most recent EP Beldam is a complimentary sonic work to playwright and TRILL member Tallulah Brown’s latest project ‘A Tryal of Witches’ at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds. Inspired by the 17th century Suffolk witch trials, the play is interwoven with recurring sonic motifs - part lullaby, part hymn, part ritual dirge. Four of these are collected in the Beldam EP, including a collaboration with producer Mike Lindsay (Tuung, Laura Marling, Anna B Savage, LUMP).
2022’s Four Chambers saw them work with producers Ned Wyndham (Franc Moody) and LA-based Boom Bip for a collection of delicately woven bedroom pop songs. Previous releases saw them work with long-time collaborator Johan Hugo (Self Esteem, The Very Best, Baba Maal).
Their music has soundtracked a broad range of TV shows and film trailers, landing notable syncs in shows such as Orange Is The New Black, The Morning Show, The Man With 1000 Kids, Underground and Good Trouble; and trailers for Dune: Prophecy, Pretty Little Liars, Jack Ryan, Mare of Easttown, Locke & Key, Outlander, Suffragette, Radioactive and Grand Isle.
